These compact units are exclusive M&L developments, particularly recommended for high steam or oil pressures.  Due to the high turbulence of oil achieved by the transverse baffling, these heaters have high capacities per square foot.

Operation: Oil is outside the tubes in turbulent flow transverse to the bundle while the steam is inside the tubes

Construction:  Shell, tubes, tube sheets and baffles are steel.  Heads are cast iron or steel.  While heavy gauge steel tubing is standard, non-ferrous tubes can be furnished on special order.  The tube bundle can be easily removed by merely taking off a single set of flange bolts.
